1. Market Risk (a.k.a. The One Everyone Talks About)<\/b><\/h3>\n

Yes, stocks go up and down. That\u2019s not a secret. Market risk is the idea that the value of your investments can drop when the whole market takes a hit\u2014maybe because of interest rates, inflation, wars, a tweet from Elon Musk <\/span>or a quote from Donald Trump<\/b>, you name it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The trick here? Don\u2019t panic. If you\u2019re investing long-term, the dips are part of the ride. Like potholes on the road trip to Retirementville.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Inflation Risk (Your Money\u2019s Sneaky Nemesis)<\/b><\/h3>\n

Here\u2019s the quiet one people forget about: inflation. Even if your money\u2019s sitting safely under the mattress (or in a low-yield account), it might be <\/span>losing<\/span><\/i> value over time because prices are going up.<\/span><\/p>\n
